A Donation Pledged Goes a Long Way:

Below is a brief write up of how donors have supported us, included is why the support needs to be ongoing. We hope you can help.

• The bulk of our finances doesn't come from grants, we receive our funds from the generosity of the public, through donations pledged, a legacy, fundraising events, donations placed in to our collection boxes and from gifts kindly donated to us for raffles.
• Manual assistance has also been generously provided by volunteers, many who have helped in the building of a special kind of Centre for which we operate, this covers an area of approximately 3500sq ft. Facilities include bird aviaries & welfare areas for the birds in our care, indoor & outdoor flying & training areas for our birds plus important areas where we work to educate children, families & groups.
• To date we have now over 700 nest boxes positioned in ideal habitat locations of the countryside. These support the many wild Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Little Owls & Kestrels with suitable places to nest & roost. Without your help the above & the below would not be possible. With this number of boxes & more planned to be positioned the support we need must be ongoing so donations will always be important to us.
• With regards to rescued birds & their rehabilitation, this is an ongoing task & very precious to us. The results we gain in getting injured or sick birds back to the wild is very good, to assist this work we build a number of special mobile release aviaries & erect them at selected project sites, this helps to aid a safe release plan.

When kindly donating to our registered charity you can be assured that a large percentage if not all will be used to support the Centre's work including the conservation work we undertake & the care/assistance we give to wild casualties that are brought in or picked up.
