Specialisng in experiences for all ages, the Barn Owl Centre is a great place where you can relax & enjoy the flying & photographing Owls & Birds of Prey.

OWL FLYING EXPERIENCE

The Owls that you get to fly on this experience will mainly be Barn Owls. Depending on availabilty you can fly the Long Eared Owl too.

This is a great experience that caters for the interest all ages especially families with young children.

During bad weather conditions your booked experience can still continue within our purpose built indoor flying.

Prices
Adult Participants: £12.00
(Pay on arrival or acquire one of our pre-paid Gift Vouchers)

Child Participants £7.00 (aged from 4 to 15yrs)
(Pay on arrival or acquire one of our pre-paid Gift Vouchers)
All children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.

Spectators any age: £7.00
(Payable at reception when you arrive with the participants)

This experience operates every week throughout the year
Tuesdays to Sundays from 4pm until 5.30pm
Doors open at 4pm

HAWK & OWL EXPERIENCE

The birds that you get to fly on this experience will be either the Harris Hawk or European Buzzard & the mighty European Eagle Owl as seen in the image on the right.

This is a great experience that takes place in the countryside within the natural environment of our farm.

Adult Participants: £30.00

Child Participants £20.00 (aged from 10 to 15yrs)
(Pay on arrival or acquire one of our pre-paid Gift Vouchers)
All children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.

Spectators any age: £10.00
(Payable at reception when you arrive with the participants)
This experience is restricted to children aged 10yrs & upwards due to the size & weight of the birds being flown,  all children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.

This experience operates every week throughout the year
Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am until 12noon
Doors open at 10am

5 hour PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

Photography Clubs welcome, for this you will need to provide us with a date suitable for your club members, group sizes must be from 8 to 12 in number.

We also cater for internet photography forums, magazines & junior groups.

Directions plus an important note for SAT NAV users. The link road that runs past our Cenre was opened in 2008, to this date it will not be shown on all mapping systems!

We can be found along Secunda Way, which is a section of the Hempsted Link Rd (A430), look out for road signs Hempsted Meadows & Netheridge.

For sat nav users try & stay on the link road until you see the above signs, do not let your sat nav re-direct you, it is important to note that we are not in Hempsted Village or down the old Bristol Road.

When you are on the A430 look for a small number of traditional road signs which will say Barn Owl Centre, these are small white signs with black lettering. When you see these signs you are very close to arriving, look out for our location sign in the image on this page, this is right by the Centre's entrance & visable from the A430 as you approach the traffic lights. Now take the turning into Netheridge.

For anyone wishing to pick up a Bird of Prey Experience Gift Voucher, a sponsorship/membership gift or to pick up an Owl Nest Box, please call us first to arrange collection.
