Owl Activities for Schools & Groups
The Barn Owl Centre has over a 15 years experience working with children at all age levels.
We work with Schools, Colleges, Children's Groups & with families who encourage their children to develop an interest in wildlife.
We have an amazing track record for which we are very proud of & have worked with a large number of schools throughout Gloucestershire & surrounding Counties.
To help support the National Curriculum & the interests shown by schools to education their children on Owls & their Conservation, we have 2 options for you to choose from.
Formal Option 1: For Gloucestershire Only, we are able to bring a fully trained Barn Owl to your School for the children to meet & learn about, this option is purely static & does not include a flying display.
Interactive Option 2: By visiting the Centre, interactive flying displays can take place. During a visit all children will be able to see a variety of species ranging from Owls, Hawks, Falcons & a majestic Golden Eagle. We have great facilities that can help make a visit fully interactive & educational. In addition we have a 12 acre nature reserve to relax in plus we have a 68 seated indoor flying area with presentation equipment installed for visual education presentations. Having an indoor facility simply means that we can operate in any bad weather condition & still fly some of our fully trained Owls to the children's gloved hand whilst they are being educated.
Because we are not open to the public, all attention is focused on your visit, great for the children & very supportive to teachers that come with them.
