Helping to support Wild Owls

The 2009 Breeding Season as starting. Donations are very important to us during the year

As a small & active charity, we always need financial help to fund the conservation work we undertake.

For us to be active in the field we do rely heavily on what we can receive from the generosity of the public & from the business community.

With your support we have positioned well over 1200 nest boxes within ideal habitat locations of the countryside. With the many project sites now under our belt we have created a huge number of important nest & roost sites to support wild Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Little Owls & Kestrels. To see the results from this work makes the task we do very worthwhile for which we couldn't of done without you.

With this number of nest boxes now in position, the best part of the work starts, this will be to gently gather the results & success of nesting & roosting birds. To continue with this valuable work, the ongoing support required via donations is of great importance to us.

We need to visit boxes every year, a site visit will be to check a box for breeding success or to clean out a box from any unwanted debris. In addition we also need to drive many miles & this means expensive vehicle costs, then we have a number of insurance policies we need to be covered on. These 2 costs can be very disruptive if funds are low.

We are a hard working team & you can be assured that all donations will go a long way to support the continuous work we do in the field of Owl Conservation.

Areas that are visited to support nest boxes are: Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire & parts of Wiltshire & Oxfordshire.

We also offer an advice service via the telephone to help other projects throughout the UK plus we can help supply nest boxes to those who wish to undertake their own project work.
